Guest bio:

Michele Mauzerall the CEO of SteriCUBE® is a consummate entrepreneur with exceptional business skills and vision. Her first notably successful enterprise was a Manhattan based marketing firm she founded in 1993 and subsequently sold in 2000. She then turned her attention to healthcare and proceeded to build and assist in operations for Precision Surgical Center while simultaneously managing The New Jersey Pain Management Institute. She became acting CFO of East Brunswick Anesthesia, another company she founded, until she left to become a full-time healthcare efficiency consultant in 2011. While researching improvements to healthcare process flow, she was introduced to the inventor of the first Multiple Tray Sterilization (“MTS”) product and the concept was so impressive that bringing the technology to the market became her primary focus.

About SteriCUBE®:

SteriCUBE®, LLC manufactures and sells a Multiple Tray Sterilization (“MTS”) system known as the SteriCUBE® System. This is a large sterilizable cabinet on its own cart in which one or more unwrapped and unlidded surgical instrument trays can be sterilized and easily transported to and from the Operating Room (“OR”) and any Central Sterile Processing Department (commonly referred to as “SPD”). The SteriCUBE® has FDA clearance for “sterility assurance post rigorous outdoor transportation,” providing opportunities for vendors and offsite sterile processing centers (OPCs) to deliver sterile trays, one container per procedure, to hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). The SteriCUBE® has been called “one of the most innovative devices that impacts efficiency in the ‘SPD’ and OR instrument processing loop.” The benefits of this disruptive technology are numerous, from reduction in materials and labor expense to dramatically improving patient safety by eliminating the possibility of compromised sterile packaging.
